PRESS STATEMENT ON THE SUPREME COURT JUDGMENT REGARDING THE PDP NATIONAL SECRETARY POSITION.

The Coalition of Democratic Leaders (CDL) acknowledges the Supreme Court ruling on the office of the National Secretary of our great party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). In our view, there is neither victor nor vanquished in this judgment the real winner is the PDP. This ruling brings much-needed clarity, and we believe it is time to move forward in unity and progress.
We strongly advise the National Secretary to immediately extend a hand of reconciliation to all stakeholders. There must be no room for division or triumphalism. Instead, all efforts should now be focused on strengthening the party, fostering inclusivity, and reaffirming the supremacy of the PDP as an institution above individual interests.
Furthermore, we caution against the spread of misinformation and fake news regarding this judgment. Any attempt to misrepresent the court’s decision or incite division through false narratives must be discouraged. We urge party faithful to be committed to the mission and vision statement of our great party. It is not a time for gloating or exercise of bragging rights.
The PDP remains the strongest vehicle for democracy and national development, and this moment calls for collective dedication to its ideals. Let us unite, reorganize, and push forward together.
