BREAKING NEWS:TINUBU EXECUTES MAJOR CABINET OVERHAUL: 5 MINISTERS SACKED, 10 REASSIGNED, 7 APPOINTED.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced a sweeping cabinet reshuffle in a bold move to improve governance and address ongoing challenges across critical sectors such as security, power, educationand youth development.

Key Changes:

Ministers Sacked:

Uju-Ken Ohanenye (Women Affairs)

Lola Ade-John (Tourism)

Prof. Tahir Mamman (Education)

Abdullahi Gwarzo (State, Housing)

Jamila Ibrahim (Youth Development)

Ministers Reassigned:

Dr. Morufu Alausa – from State Health to Education

Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim – now heads Women Affairs

Others reassigned across various ministries

New Appointments:

Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda – Humanitarian Affairs

Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi – Labour & Employment

Bianca Ojukwu – State, Foreign Affairs

Dr. Jumoke Oduwole – Industry, Trade and Investment

Idi Mukhtar Maiha – Livestock Development

Rt. Hon. Yusuf Abdullahi Ata – State, Housing

Dr. Suwaiba Ahmad – State, Education

Structural Changes:

The Ministry of Niger Delta Development is now the Ministry of Regional Development, with oversight of all regional development commissions.

The Ministry of Sports Development has been dissolved; its duties will be managed by the National Sports Commission.

The Ministries of Tourism and Culture have merged into the Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism, and the Creative Economy.

President Tinubu emphasized that the reshuffle was aimed at “maximizing efficiency, renewing focus, and ensuring better service delivery to Nigerians.” He urged the newly appointed and reassigned officials to view their roles as acts of national service, not personal gain.
