BREAKING NEWS: PDP INCREASES MONTHLY SALARIES FOR PARTY OFFICIALS.
The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Bayelsa State has approved a new salary structure for its elected officials, from the ward to the state level.
The decision was made during a meeting of the State Working Caretaker Committee, chaired by acting leader George Turnah. A special committee had earlier reported that the existing pay structure was inadequate, especially for grassroots officials.
New Monthly Salary Structure:
Ward Level:
Chairman: ₦336,000
Vice-Chairman & Secretary: ₦196,000 each
14 Executive Members: ₦120,000 each
Local Government Level:
Chairman: ₦621,000
Vice-Chairman & Secretary: ₦336,000 each
Other Executives: ₦196,000
Senatorial District & Non-Working State Committee Members: ₦621,000
State Working Committee Members: ₦1,048,500
These new salaries are aligned with similar political roles in the Bayelsa State government and are set to be implemented immediately.
