BREAKING NEWS:TINUBU PROMISES ONITSHA PORT REVIVAL, INCLUDES ANAMBRA in NATIONAL RAIL PROJECT.

In a significant policy shift, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced the inclusion of Anambra State in the National Rail Line Project and promised the revival of the Onitsha River Port. The move is seen as a strong endorsement of Governor Charles Soludo’s administration and a potential boost for his second-term bid.

Speaking during a one-day working visit to Anambra State, Tinubu commended Governor Soludo’s achievements, including landmark infrastructure projects like the Solution Fun City, the New Government House, Anambra Towers, and the eight-lane Emeka Anyaoku Boulevard.

> “With Soludo, we can all work together to transform the vision of our country. We have solution because we have Soludo,” Tinubu stated.

He acknowledged Anambra’s challenges with gully erosion and ecological degradation, promising increased federal investment in the state. Tinubu also assured the South East of improved federal collaboration on regional security and infrastructure.

Significantly, he declared that the South East’s exclusion from the original National Rail Master Plan would be corrected. The Ministry of Transport, he said, would revise the plan to include the region, facilitating better transportation of goods and enhancing connectivity.

President Tinubu also pledged completion of the Anambra–Kogi Road to ease travel to Abuja.

Governor Soludo, in his remarks, reaffirmed APGA’s support for the federal government, announcing the party’s endorsement of Tinubu’s second-term ambition.

> “Our support for President Tinubu is rooted in progressive ideology. In 2011, APGA supported the government at the center, and that tradition continues today,” Soludo stated.

Traditional and political leaders present at the event also showed strong support. President Tinubu was conferred with the chieftaincy title “Dike Si Mba Anambra” by Igwe Chidubem Iweka of Obosi, chairman of the Anambra Traditional Rulers Council.

Dignitaries in attendance included Chief Emeka Anyaoku, Governor Alex Otti (Abia), Governor Hope Uzodimma (Imo), Governor Peter Mba (Enugu), and oil magnate Sir Emeka Offor, who vowed to rally support for Soludo’s re-election.

> “Since Tinubu came into office, businessmen are doing better. Your support for projects regardless of party shows statesmanship,” Offor said.

Deputy Governor Emeka Sibudu and Chief Anyaoku also appealed for deeper federal engagement in security and governance in the South East.
